Stacey Abrams Will Not Run for Georgia Senate Seat After Isakson Retires

Well, it’s Georgia law that you cannot be a Senator and *Governor* at the same time.

Georgia Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson announced this morning he will step down at the end of 2019 due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

People on social media brought up Stacey Abrams, but she immediately shot down the idea.

Isakson said on Wednesday that his “health challenges are taking their toll on me, my family and my staff.” Unfortunately, Parkinson’s disease continues to progress. He is still in physical therapy from a fall in July. He also had surgery this week “to remove a growth” on a kidney.

Abrams has refused to admit she lost the Georgia gubernatorial race in 2018. I guess since she still holds the belief she is the governor of Georgia she cannot run for Senate. It’s against Georgia law to hold both offices.

The left has continued to keep her in the spotlight as some have tried to convince her to run for president, accept a vice president pick, or run for the Georgia Senate seat in 2020 against incumbent Republican Sen. David Perdue.

But even with two seats up for grab Abrams stressed she will stick to her next project.

The New York Times interviewed Abrams earlier this month about her decision not to run for president. She said she would remain open to run as vice president, but wants to concentrate on her group Fair Fight 2020.

Abrams believes her group will help clear up voter irregularities.

Maybe the MSM should realize they have a full on fruitcake on their hands.

Statement from my spokesman:

Don’t know about the rest of you, but I find that line hilarious.

Well it’s undertandable, she doesn’t want to have to resign from the Governor’s office.

Who quotes their PR person, with actual quotation marks? She has proven how dumb she is.

Are two seats really “up for grabs?” I though one senator (Perdue?) was still planning on running and there is almost no reason to think he will face any real challenge.

I assume the Governor will assign someone for the 10 months of 2020. So perhaps that selection is pretty critical – they may intend to run to keep their seat.

“Abrams believes her group will help clear up cover up Dimocrat voter irregularities.”

She’s been pretty good at shooting these ideas down only to take them up later.

Maybe like Beta O’Toole, this little Affirmative-Action-SJW baby raised in an era of Me-Too-Participation-Trophies has now convinced herself that a Senate seat isn’t “good enough”… she’s destined to be POTUS!

What a nucking futjob.

I guess f@staceyabrams was already taken.

The ignorant, arrogant turd of lard is holding out for VP . . .

Stay needs to try new approach, like finding a REAL JOB. Somehow sadly however, I don’t see gainful employment in her future.

I guess since she still holds the belief she is the governor of Georgia she cannot run for Senate. It’s against Georgia law to hold both offices.

On the contrary, that would be a good reason for her to run. It would give her a graceful way to climb down from the tree she’s up — if by some chance she were to win the senate seat she could “resign” the governorship.

Well she could be a Senator–or you could drill three holes in her and she’d be a bowling ball. She’s got a better chance of being a bowling ball.

Is it my imagination, or is being photogenic generally necessary to get elected? Men and women alike are likely to fair better if they are not hideous to look at, and Abrams is hideous.

“But even with two seats up for grabs…”

She’s going to need both of them if she’s going to sit down.

I was on a flight to Hawaii for business meetings to torpedo pending legislation, 5 hours sandwiched between two big natives. That was a miserable 5 hour flight. And they were nothing like Abrams. Imagine having to put up with her for five hours. She would need three seats.

No great loss as she wouldn’t win the election to either office in the first place.

Like to say I’m glad i don’t live in GA, but I live in NJ and we have our own walking embarrassment, Cory Booker

Ms. Abrams’s “thoughts are with Senator Isakson and his family” – what about her “prayers”? O! I forgot. “Prayers” are no longer welcome to the Left.
